XINYU MAISON  I  馨予樓

Founded by artist Hu Xinyu（b.1995, China）, XINYU MAISON is an artist-led creative house with painting at its core. Its practice explores the relationships between nature, life, and the spiritual realm, while extending into different media and creative disciplines.

 

Drawing inspiration from traditional Chinese painting and its understanding of nature and space, XINYU MAISON brings these perspectives into dialogue with contemporary digital imagery and the visual language of video games, exploring new forms of image-making and ways of seeing.

Butterflies, flowers, leaves, and other elements of the natural world recur throughout its works, reimagined as forms that float, wander, grow, and transform. Scattered across expansive fields of vivid color, they transcend conventional notions of gravity, scale, and spatial order, creating a multidimensional world within the two-dimensional picture plane—one that invites free exploration and wandering.

 

In this world, nature is no longer merely a landscape to be observed, but an ever-evolving state of life in which all things emerge and connect. Painting is both the starting point of XINYU MAISON’s artistic universe and the foundation from which it continues to expand across different media and disciplines.
